Charities – National Cancer or Health Related

We have launched a new series, designed to put a spotlight on National Cancer or Health Charities. Our goal is to take you “behind the scenes” and introduce you to responsible and effective National Charities that are using funds responsibly and are generating heartwarming and significant results. These are Charities that we acknowledge for their commendable programs and results.


We are pleased to announce that we have chosen

LIVING BEYOND BREAST CANCER as the first national cancer/health related charity to receive our acknowledgement for their commendable programs and results. Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s mission is to empower all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. LBBC offers programs and services to women affected by breast cancer, caregivers and healthcare providers including a website, lbbc.org; a toll-free Survivors’ Helpline staffed by trained volunteers at (888) 753-LBBC (5222); national conferences; free teleconferences; community programs; newsletters and publications; recordings and transcripts; small grants to help improve quality of life; and workshops and trainings for healthcare professionals. The Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the premier international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women age 40 and under who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
