Rhonda Zweber – A Mother’s Cancer Journey Through the Eyes of a Child

Rhonda has been married for 17 years with 3 beautiful daughters.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer on May18th, 2007, after finding a lump during a self breast exam.  Having cancer

Rhonda Zweber

didn’t stop Rhonda and her family from living. She still made it to soccer games, coached volleyball and volunteered at school and church.  She wanted to help other families as they experienced cancer so when her youngest daughter, Sally, continued to ask probing questions and making candid comments, she created a book that simply explained each step of her treatment, along with heartwarming photos taken along the way. Believing that God has given her the opportunity to share her experience to help others, Rhonda has had speaking engagements throughout her community and has started a breast cancer ministry at her parish called the Pink Prayer Warriors. Rhonda’s book, called Mommy’s Hats is a compilation of inspirational stories over a one year period that reveals a child’s loving perspective on a very serious family disease.  For more info. on Rhonda’s book, go to: http://www.mommyshats.com.
